Vacation Bible School Announcement 

This year we will once again be holding our annual Vacation Bible School. What is V.B.S. you ask? It is a time of fun and faith designed to help children learn about God’s love during Summer Vacation.

This year our V.B.S. will take place during the week of July 7th-11th at the Glen Dale Church from 9Am-Noon each day. With our V.B.S. taking place in the morning some new opportunities are possible for families in the area. One example of this is that for the first time the Child Development Center will be able to participate in the

V.B.S. with the permission of the children’s guardians. With several classes of children joining us for laughter, song, and fun I am truly excited.

We know that the change in time may be challenging to some of our previous volunteers but remain hopeful that God will provide the hands and hearts needed to pull off this amazing time together. If you are interested in helping this year here are some of the ways you can make a difference.

Group Guides that walk with the kids from one activity to the next.

Activity Leaders: From Bible Stories, to crafts, or even science projects you can bring the Bible to life for our kids. These lessons will be prepared for you, and you are given the opportunity to adapt them to the needs presented.

Snacks: We always have snack time as one of our activities and having volunteers help prepare those snacks makes it smooth for everyone Donations: As we get closer, we will ask for donations of specific items or funds to acquire specific items that will enable our activities. 2 years ago, we needed some black lights, flashlights, and leaf blowers for example. The kids loved finding hidden messages!

Setup: Many of our stations ask for decorations to help create a feel for a specific theme. If you’d like to help create the space for children to learn and grow and God and flex some creative muscles this is a great opportunity!
